The three boxes of stuff arrived today from Michigan...holy moly. As I unpacked everything I just hope and pray that the baby and I can use up all of this stuff! :) I put together the bouncy seat - incredibly easy by the way! :) I also put together the ocean activity mat. They are both so cute. Josh is on assembly duty from here on out...it feels safer that way. My pregnancy brain is in full swing!
Last night, just to prove how clumsy I am, I tipped over a whole bottle of scented oil & sticks onto the floor and my side table in the bedroom...that was thrilling to clean up. :( I did sleep pretty well though since it was lavender scented! :) I think I really could've pulled this stunt off anytime, but it is sooo convenient to blame it on the pregnancy clumsiness...
The baby is moving pretty regularly now, last night when I pressed a bit on my tummy I could feel a knee or foot kind of squirm around...the good news is the baby is no longer breech. He is movin', movin' on down the road! :)
I really can't wait to meet this little person!

29 Weeks and 3 Days Old!

Well, here is the latest picture of our little man! His nose looks really long! Maybe we should name him Pinocchio...any votes? The excitement and nervousness of a new little person joining our family has Josh and I starting to appreciate our last quiet dinners and good nights of sleep, but it also has us looking at a brighter future now that we've started a family!
The size of the baby is good - he weighs 3lbs. 6oz. now and is right in the average size...the ultrasound technician said that she could see some hair on the head today and he has chubby cheeks! I saw his mouth moving today...I'm sure he was saying hello. I have wanted to verify the sex, but he seems to like to put his hand right in the perfect spot to cover things up...we're hoping that the doctor that verified 99.9% a boy was right and that .01% doesn't sneak up on us! Wouldn't that be a story though! :) Either way...it will be awesome!
I'm feeling good and staying busy. We are still waiting on 3 boxes of stuff from my Mom and just got our stroller and car seat. I picked out a lovely Skip Hop diaper bag in kelly green that Josh and I can both use too.
Lots of love!
Deanna and Josh too!

Newsflash! Baby Kicked Josh!
Hey all,
So happy to report that J-Daddy felt his first kick last week! My stomach kind of bounces up when the baby kicks and I kept telling Josh to look and feel, but everytime he would rush over the baby would stop kicking! This time was different. Josh saw the bounce and asked, "Did you do that?" I said, "Noooo, it's the baby!" Then he felt my stomach and viola - a kick! Pretty neat, Josh was impressed and excited!
I have probably told a lot of you about this, but worth putting in the blog for memories.
I got my test results back for the glucose screening and surprise - high sugar. I kind of figured this might happen, but I was hoping no. Basically my Uncle Tim who is an OB/GYN said that this condition can make the baby chubbier than desired and the delivery more difficult because of the size of the baby - so off to the nutritionist for a new diet - and I am now working with an endocrinologist too. As long as I get the sugar under control the baby will grow normally. I think 1 to 2% of all pregnant women have high sugar during their pregnancies, so it's quite common, but not something to mess with.
All is good though...getting the baby stuff organized and making sure we have everything. Ummm...is the "nesting" starting? Ca, caw! :)
